Apache Server

Apache Servers is an open source program that is the mostly used http server program in the world. It played a huge role in the popularization of the World Wide Web. It is one of the fastest web server programs available due to its variety of MPMs (Multiprocessing Modules). These MPMs however need to be correctly configured in order for it to work. One apache server can host many websites at once. A person who host Apache HTTP webservers can implement external extension modules. Those modules can reduce the size of the web page served over HTTP servers. One such module is ModSecurity, it detects intrusions by analyzing apache logs.
