ASP Classic is the first server side script engine for dynamically generating webpages and was developed by Microsoft. ASP has many built-in objects: Application, ASPError, Request, Response Server, and session. The extension for files that use ASP is .asp, and the extension for compiled APS.NET is .aspx. ASP is written with many different programming languages such as VBScript and Jscript.
