Disk drives allow users to insert data from a disk format into the computer. There are two types of disks, floppy disk and optical disk. The floppy disk is old technology and can only allow 1.5Mb of data maximum (The size of the floppy disk can vary a lot). Optical drives are newer technology, they allow a maximum of 50Gb of data.
