DNS (Domain Name Services)

DNS is the naming system for computers, services, and any resource connected to the Internet or private network. It translates the domain names to something meaningful to users from IP addresses. To illustrate, Google has an IP address of 72.14.207.99, no user would want to remember that. Instead it translates the IP address to something users would remember, such as www.Google.ca , and vice versa.
