Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet application designed by Microsoft. The application was originally called the Multiplan, which was in the market starting in 1982. The application was not as popular back in the release day as it is now. There was a competitor that sought to push Microsoft Excel out as a competitor. Microsoft however did the opposite and passed their opponents. Now the application has been developed many different uses.

Microsoft Excel is great for people who want to make graphs and tables. As well as people who want to calculate large amount of numbers. This is due to the fact that Excel allows the use of Visual Basic. Visual Basic makes it easy to create graphs and tables since it provides a window to program an equation that is able to be repeated in the many grids that Microsoft Excel provides; from 1- x vertically and A-(1-x)Z (Ex. 5R) horizontally. Currently it can hold 64,000 rows and 1,000,000 columns. Since you can have so many rows, Excel also provides the ability to filter out answers. Important information can also be stored in Microsoft Excel since it has the same password protection of the 100,000 rehashed 128-bit key. The 3 programs from Microsoft Office – Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel – can all communicate with each other. They are able to give each other information to calculate and display. The program is also commonly used in businesses for storing financial information and finding trends in profits and expenses.
