Microsoft PowerPoint is the slideshow application designed by 2 employees of Forethought Inc. The program was originally named Presenter, and was forced to be renamed to PowerPoint due to legal issues. It was later bought by Microsoft and was officially launched in 1990 with Windows 3.0. The slideshow application allows users to input images and text into different panels, called ‘slides’, which can be brought back and forth at the user`s will. Microsoft PowerPoint has many features to compliment it`s job of building slideshows. It allows users to choose from a bunch of pre-designed templates to spice up their presentation instead of it being dull and bland it will become lively and eye-catching. PowerPoint allows users to create animations on their text, pictures, and slides. These animations allow the presentation to become livelier as they allow transitions such as binds, horizontal, or box in. There are even sounds that can be implemented into the slideshow to match the Microsoft PowerPoint is used everywhere, from a common house to an army mission. PowerPoints are perfect for people who want to create some visual aid but do not want to waste time on editing pictures, PowerPoints are fast to make and can hold a lot of information.
